Making New ‘Baby’ Friends

Your beautiful baby has arrived, you’ve been inundated with cards, visitors and well-wishers and then things start to calm down. You start to create your new ‘normal’, but things are very different to how they were. You’re either on maternity leave or reducing your workload, your sleep pattern has definitely been interupted and when you feel like a chat or a catch-up either your friends are at work or they can only meet in the evenings when all you want to do is grab an early night and hope you get a few hours sleep before the first feed – things have definitely changed!

The Birth – What Do YOU Want?

You’ve seen the films right and the ‘documentries’ on TV and birth is either over in a matter of minutes or the most painful experience of your life… wrong! The birth of your child is the most natural thing in the world and something your body is designed and built for, ok sometimes these things are taken out of our control and we do need to listen to the advice of midwives and doctors who have both baby and mum’s best interests at heart, but if you are having a healthy and normal pregnancy you can have a say in your baby’s birth, it is your child and body after all.
